New machine not without pain! lol.

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Darren - I had my doubts about a dryer on there but it actually works out pretty well!  So you decided that tying a washing line between your window and the flats across the way like in Italy wasn't a feasible idea?

Your next task is to now find space to squeeze in a 45cm dishwasher ;).

On a more serious note, I bet you're glad to have a dryer in the flat... I don't use mine much, but it's a godsend when it does need to be used!

Thanks Jon.

It wasn't until we tried it that I thought that works! Yeah I like to have it for towels and for the little people! Will still use the airer's and just finish things off in the dryer...now the dishwasher...:D x

Hotpoint

Hi Darren.

Congratulations on you Hotpoint washer. I once had an Aqualtis until I reversed into the door as our machines are in the garage. Was well gutted. Hotpoint quoted an arm & leg to repair it.

Found it to be quiet, washed, rinsed and spun very good. Great machines.

Good luck with it.

Not branching out yet......

Maybe soon, but for now i'm gonna try & stay living at home as it's alright most of the time.

Still got the Zanussi Turbodry 1000 (WDA1055W) & Electrolux Condensor here, with the Zanussi Essential in the garage on standby. My collection consists of:

Zanussi FL1012
Zanussi Z9292T
Zanussi Electronic Sensor TDS382EW
Zanussi Electronic Sensor Z930

The Z930 is a fairly recent addition & matches the Z9292T :-)

Glad you got the Hotpoint dryer back & got it working. Proves it sometimes pays off to tinker with something rather than just replace - a shame more people didn't do this - so many machines with tiny faults ending up thrown out :(

Zanussi's new range seems quite confusing to follow. The model numbers don't seem to follow a very easy-to-understand pattern & they seem to mix high speed/capacity with low choice of options & vice versa, particularly on the Flexi-Dose, which seems a weird thing to do. I suppose time will tell how good they are but it seems Electrolux have really de-valued the brand lately.

Hi Paul

Yeah still got it. Was there Tuesday doing some bits & pieces for the tenant actually. It's in pretty decent condition, even if not upto my OCD standards!

Can't believe it though - i left my new Zanussi Dishwasher there (ZDF511 Progress AAA) & the tenant's never used it in 2.5 years! Might whip that out if i buy somewhere else coz i quite liked that dishwasher!

Worth keeping that house for now though coz the values seem to be going up in that area, which i was suprised about.

Renting

Hi Darren.

Yeah, the price of renting is terrible. a friend of mine is renting a house for over £500 a month, she could buy one for that.

Glad your happy with the Hotpoint, really good machines.

Just got the July Which and Bosch came out on top, wonder if they tested the Bosch Maxx 5 machines that only lasted 5 months for me, glad I got rid, lol.

All the best

Paul

Hi Paul,

Lucky for me my dad owns a rental firm so I didn't need to pay a deposit.

I had the a machine similar to your bosch at a house share about 7years ago. The cottons rinsing was dire.

Bosch Maxx 5

Hi Darren,

Had the Bosch Maxx 5 for 5 months when it broke down and took over 2 weeks for it to be repaired. If you buy Bosch from Comet, then Comet engineers reapair it and not Bosch.

Was so happy when I sold it, even had a party, lol.
