Kenmore washer in picture with triple action agitator

The kenmore washer in the picture with triple action agitatore is the model the high efficency model or tradianal non he model and what is the model and serial number as i kind of like the way its made and while whaing do the lid lock?

You're going to love this washer. I keep seeing videos of the HE models operating, and hearing horror stories about them, and it makes me love my WP even more. The ONLY thing I hate about it is the restricted inlet valve. I timed the other day and it took over 15 minutes for each fill, making the entire cycle exactly 1 hour and 10 minutes. I remember our KitchenAid taking not even 5 mins to fill. It makes no sense why they would restrict it, because the washer is going to fill up and use the same water regardless of how fast, but I figure it's a marketing trick. If someone notices that it takes forever to fill, and they don't understand how the machine works, they'll misunderstand that it's using a ton of water and think that they need a more expensive HE model. That being said, if anyone discovers a way to open up the flow a bit, let us all know.

i removed the restrictors already its basically two orange plastic inserts with a rubber washer on it.
1 remove the hoses
2 remove the plastic double screens
2 using s small flat head screwdriver pull out the orange plugs with the rubber washer viola high water pressure

That's really all it is? Goodness, I want to try this now. I assume there's no issue with it overflowing the spout assembly? I know that this one is already splashy with what little flow it has now, so I don't want water spewing backwards or anything haha. But I'm about to perform this surgery on mine so we'll see how it goes. Anything is better than a 1:10 hour cycle just because the fills are each over 15 minutes.

You sir are a life saver!!! I honestly thought I was going to have to take the inlet assembly off to figure it out. This whole "procedure" took about 5 minutes. It's crazy that those tiny inserts made that big a difference in flow!! Now my washer is filling up like our old KitchenAid used to. It even fans out a bit with warm water on! I just did a test fill on Super water level and it finished in about 3 minutes, compared to 15+ before. It's insane that these simple pieces are what's causing people to think their washers are using too much water, and tricking them into thinking they need an HE. Thank you so much for the advice!

yep our water pressure isn't so hard but it fills faster when the pump comes on it fans out but we don't have hot water here and whirlpool ATC tends to cycle hot then cold so they are never on at the same time in our top-load he (agitator model) WTW4850xq
