Bought some new Miele Tabs today, and discovered that they've changed the packaging. The 3 boxes are flatter and longer than the previous boxes, because the tabs are now stacked in a single layer, versus the double layer in packages of yore, and you get...wait for it......4 less tabs per box for the same price as the boxes of yesterday! So I got 60 tabs for $34.99, instead of 72. I'll still cut them in half and hopefully get good results just like I do currently.
The shrink-wrap is much tighter around the new tabs than the old tabs, which had little "wings" on the ends of the tabs. I suppose the packaging technology has changed, which saved them a bundle in dissoluble shrink-wrap. The fragrance of the new tabs is also slightly stronger than the old ones, but that could just be that the old tabs are about 6 months old now.
Sigh...the more things change, the less we get for our dollars.
