I use to like the smell of Gain, but it's too strong to me now--apparently the world is addicted to that scent. But is that the only one out there? Most of the laundry scents I liked were back in the 80s. We should have those as our air fresheners. I am buying Up and Up from Target more and more (not because it cleans all that good), but it has the smell of 80s Dynamo. Ahhhh...sheets smell great.

Dan - Never heard of 'Up and Up', and I have two Targets within two miles of my house. If it smells like 80s Dynamo, I want it too! I think I just got a reason to go shopping for a while....

More new items

Big news in the detergent offerings...

We're getting specialty products - mostly Seventh Generation products. But with the addition of these products means a dramatic shrinkage in the powder offerings. To make up for that, Trend and more Xtra and Arm & Hammer liquids are being added. For Fabric softeners, there's new liquids from Snuggle (Blackberry & Hydrangea?), Sun (no longer Cuddle Soft), Downy and Suavitel. We have all the new Gain dish liquids and the Fall Glade and Febreze fragrances in stock. Speaking of Febreze, they have rolled out Gain scented items (spray, fabric refresher and Noticeables).

Is there nothing left they aren't going to shove that stuff into? Am waiting for toilet rolls with Febreze to pop up next.

Charmin with Febreze?

I doubt P&G will take it that far. P&G tried before with Charmin Scents. While it smelled good, it never sold well and was later discontinued.

The new Febreze Cinnamon Sugar & Home is nice. The new Gain Fresh Scent one is nice too, but just like it's namesake, it can be too strong.

I finally get to see if they completed the addition of the environmentally-friendly detergents & cleaners tomorrow. I know that people will have a fit when they see the diminished powder offerings.

We now carry Wisk (50, 100 oz Deep Clean, Fresh Boost & Bleach Alternative) and Tide Regular Fresh liquid (50 & 100 oz.) I got the new Sun softener. It smells like it belongs to Snuggle rather than Sun. The Blackberry & Hydrangea Snuggle Exhilarations is downright awful. Downy Almond Cream Bliss is gone, while a new Downy, in a yellow cap, is out. Smells nice, but not distinct. There's a new Suavitel Aroma Sensations out, with a rose-inspired fragrance.
