The way I measure arc is by placing a piece of black electrical tape, cut thinner, across top of the agitator, and set machine for a slower agitation, and take notice of an imaginary point of how the outside edge of the tape cross each other, on a WP or Maytag they just touch with out crossing, this is half way which would be 180 in one direction. a simple way to look at a whirlpool was the agitator cap had a "W" on it, while at neutral it would be nomally read horizontal, while agitating the "W" became an "M"...on a similar idea of a SQ, the "W" would almost become a "3" so to speak....
You know you could also raise that water level up another inch or two....
Another classic sound to these SQ is the legendary "gulping" of water from under the agitator as it starts to spin.....Alliance could have kept the aireated fill flume to keep it as classic as possible...but a super machine none the less.....if my neptunes ever give out, this will probably be my next 2 sets, although 2 stacked FL is a nice idea too....
