New 'Tag Set

New arrivals from Millersport Ohio, turned out to be in excellent condition........ Washer is model A500, Dryer is a DE300. Washer needed a little help but nothing serious....dryer is so quiet and smooth as Maytags of this era tend to be, its almost silent in operation........

This set is the older style with access panels from the back for the washer........I like the style of these with the grey bottom kick panels and stainless trim band at the top of each.....since I didnt have a Maytag set, these are going to be keepers, at least for a while.........

VERY nice, Jimmy!! Were those called "Super Highlanders"? Have you figured out what year they are from yet?

They were workhorses, that's for sure. Simple and dependable; who could ask for more! Congratulations!

Not sure of the year of these, hoping a member could help out with that. I think they are from about 1962-1964.......Ive repaired hundreds of these models when I was working for the dealers during my summer college jobs, but I never really knew how to date/year Maytags.......

I narrowed my A300 down to 1964. It's the single-speed version with the same looking console.

Dates ...

Jimmy ... I think the washer is from September 1963 if the end of the serial number is "LW".

I can't make out the end of the serial number on the dryer, however.

That little crown on the dial in the rinse cycle--is that when the spray rinse starts or is it the start of the rinse fill. Unfamiliar, so I'd like to know if all Vintage Tags have a full minute long spray rinse, and is that one of the reasons why you guys love them so much?
