Hi all,

I am new to the forum and was hoping to gain some knowledge on my CL find. I picked up this fridge Monday morning for $20. It runs beautifully and quiet. This will be in my kitchen this weekend:-)

Can anyone help date and gain knowledge on this GE fridge?

Chaundel-

Welcome to AW.org. You will find a great group of people here that are willing to help new members. If you could post the entire model# and serial# from the mfg. tag that you had in pic #4 there will probably be someone here to help you with the answer. It's a little difficult to make it out in the picture. Just be patient.

It looks like you picked up a nice frig especially for that price.

Again welcome!

New to me Vintage Blue GE Fridge ....now free to you!

I spoke too soon! We uplugged and moved it. We let it sit for a few days and now it is not freezing nor is it keeping anything cold (except the water in the freezer)!

We are willing to give it to anyone on here, for FREE but you must pick up (40 minutes north of Pittsburgh, Pa). I really do not want it ending up at the scrap yard! It is listed on Pittsburgh CL for $50 to deter scrappers but it will be free to fellow members!

We ended up finding (and bought) the one we really wanted...a 1950's GE in pristine condition (white and chrome)....not as quiet but works like a dream!
