I saw someone else had success just by asking here, so figured I would give it a try. Any chance anyone has a WH38X10002 transmission available, or know anyone who rebuilds them or cares about older machines like mine? Really like the washer, I believe it's from around 2000, was here when I bought the place in 2010, and would like to keep it going. Live in the Las Vegas valley if that's helpful.

It's a Hotpoint, still works fine, has just been gaining a bit of a metallic grinding noise during agitation that sometimes sounds loud but sometimes isn't too pronounced. 99% sure it's the transmission, had someone come out and look at it and they agreed transmission... then charged me $95 for that confirmation, but what can you do. During spin it has no sound, only agitation it can get a little noisy.

Have cleaned up the basket, replaced water valve and timer when they started to have problems, and treat it really well, just would prefer it didn't make this noise that probably will lead to something bad down the line.
