New Wash Plate Action.

Been around Asian made machines and there wash plate systems,
for years ...
Sanyo
Toshiba
Hair..etc
Unlike the older twister typs that I have owned
like the GE's and Sanyo old blender styles.
That twist clothing.. I liked to see the new generation of
wash plates.
Here is a flat wide disk with a hump it seems
and no balling seems it goes outward to the tub.
Yes who knows the reliablty but interesting wash concept.
Hitachi talking washer not sure about that would be good for kids.
What do you guy's think..?

I wonder why it seems to progressivly add more water or if the user is changing a setting. Looks like it might be rough on clothes.

I agree Malcolm it is a bit harsh on the clothes I wonder if the
operator is changing programs ...
But i'm liking the wash plate.

And Malcolm I ask the same question you did lol..
According to some of the companeys the wash system powers air
thru the water making it gentle.
Daewoo has this system and has special detergents
for wet cleaning im sure on a hand wash program.
As you see the clothes are blowing up with more water in the tub.

Alexander Thanks for the video you are always on top of modern.
I seen Hair products try to reduce tangling with the tub moving
and jet spraying at the same time with the wash plate it worked.

New Wash Plate Washer?

Boring and useless, lets see what it does with 15#s of laundry, showing that operation with just two pieces of laundry is a waste of video recording time LOL.

 

As much as I love top loading machines for their ease of use and better balancing and spinning properties, there have only ever been two Hi Efficiency machines that ever impressed me at all. The best by far was the WP built Calypso and the Maytag Neptune TL was also effective, these were the only two that actually washed a big load uniformly and got things really clean. They were both a little complicated and expensive to build and both were designed and built in the US. But sadly WP decided not to spend any more money on improvements and Maytag was in trouble financially and they pulled the plug way too soon on an idea they had been playing with since 1949.

You no I respesct your expertise on machines and you no your buisness.
And I have a Calypso and washed for weeks in my friends Maytag Neptune TL.
And sold them both and watched them leave off the showroom floor.
I'm fully aware of both performences and they are pretty good at what they do.
But I don't care for large loads in the calypso Low to med loads for me.
The calypso with large loads hardly rolls just bounces barely and stressful on the basket in my opinon.
Otherwise It is a good machine and when you take the lint out of
recirculating sprayer each time its done or midway in the wash ....well lol.
The Nep TL's great for Large loads ...
NOT with small as you know.
But I Like them both...and I look at the both wash systems as industral art
Calypso wash plate with its tiny thousands holes is very nice looking washplate.
I like the design.
Even the two wash disk in the tag are interesting wished it went in the other direction lol.

Soo just looking at AGAIN Asian based washers with impeller systems
which has nothing to do with the latter lol.
I never seen this one and I like the shape and I follow agitator design.
Good or bad just saying.
Boring ..I dont like boring washers lol.
It's a wider impeller a new shape for me and just thought it was interesting
how asian based washers have changed since I was a kid.
Well rough or not it does not tangle.
Im sure it can handle normal loads well.
Thats its porpose in that venue of machine in my opinon.
I think its funny how all companeys copy each other anyway

Fisher & Paykel with the stirring and mixing water and some catylist cleanng.
recirculating trend in HE washers.
And the basket was the first time I saw a HARMONY from GE..
Which is asian made LG bubble baskets in 2002.
That information on Whirlpool on calypso design since 1949 I never knew that and thanks.
Not much of a debater on such things ...
But to me ALL WASHERS ARE INTERESTING.

Darren what makes you think this machine will turn over a big and also not tangle? The best test of a machines likelihood of tangling is to wash at least 20 men's long sleeve dress shirts in a load and see what happens.

...to a duvet? I guess it will be only lightly soaked and get not at all a bit cleaner...

OK I re watched the vid until 6 minutes 10 seconds.  Long enough to see it start bouncing the stuff up and down while spinning around.  It just seems like so much work for those two items and still using more water for 2 items than a FL would use....but anyway....the vid was interesting.  I guess if you were washing a duvet it would sense the load and use more water to cover it.

It does look like an improvement, but I hate seeing video demonstrations with hardly any laundry in the drum - not representative of real world use.

Agreed.. Washplate systems never really look like they are effective to me.

Usually, when I see these systems in operation, they don't use enough water. It sickens me to see the clothing scraped against by the impeller without it moving.

I personally would like to see that machine with a moderate to heavy load.

I have to admit I do like the recirculating water concept of the Samsung. It reminds me a bit of a Filter Flo, but without the filter pan.

I was kind of wondering when a washer manufacturer would use a recirculating water system along with a washplate. That seems so much more effective to me.
