just got our new washer and installed it i must say these VMW washers are not bad @ all would be cool if whirlpool had used the cabrio agitator design and a SS tub

so far i did
a rinse and spin on a load that had way to much soap from another washer (good results)

i did a load of towels ( showed how much the old washer was lacking when it drained bleh ..)

did a load of mixed laundry (full basket)

havent done any loads with spray rinses

the load sensing does well @ senseing the load size so if people are getting issues i think its a mother board issue

it does take longer / takes its time but results are better

it has two modes one where it agitates with about 1/4 tub full of water i1 concentrated agitation(He mode) during sensing then it will fill to the water level the washer senses (small to large.

nice machine overall

control panel ....maybe ill find a way to defeat the lid lock without unscrewing the latch on the door lol or maybe yall found another way ...
its rather quietish though different sounds but quietish

Unscrewing the door latch and putting it in the lock is the best bet. I actually ordered a second one (they're actually cheap...) so I can run it without taking the one on the lid off.

RCD

nope

no im not living in the US but the washer was shipped from there
its a revision 3 though so i assume that the motherboard or sensing algorithm was revised. cuz this one the fill hose connects to the inlet ports which are not mounted to the center of the back of the control panel vs to the left side of the control panel like the revision 2 and below

model wtw4850x03 says mad in usa on the label too idk
nice washer but hate the loud drain pump

One Of The Worse Washers I have Ever Used

I have this washing machine in my apartment that I am still living until the end of this month. When my LG's were returned to LG and my new machines were placed in my new home, my landlord installed this washer and matching dryer in my apartment.

First, this machine is loud as hell. I can't talk on the phone in the laundry room because it is so loud. Second, it takes forever to fill with water. Third, the spin cycles are so short. The spin before and after the rinse is not sufficient to remove water. The washer only spins at 700rpms. Therefore, it should spin a little longer than it does to remove sudsy dirty water and enough water for a decent drying time. The rinse water was definitely cloudy with detergent residue when I checked it.

I don't like this machine at all.

I don't like to be rude but...

I agree with powrbruh....When I put my clothes in the washing machine I just want to start the washer, add the detergent with running water and then add the clothes, doing so while the lid is up. I cant stand all the sensing with these washers, I tested one of these once and let me tell ya, by the end of the cycle I was very angry and disappointed that Whirlpool makes this junk. It had to stop and drain out 3 times then fill back up just to balance out a load of jeans and dark towels!!!! and when I tried to open the lid to balance it out myself it took about 3 minutes for it to FINALLY unlock and let me in. One of the most annoying, time consuming designs I have ever seen. And don't even get me started on how slow and loud the pump was. I did happen to do my sheets in the Whirlpool belt drive a few times to see how it cleaned sheets and it did a terrible job rinsing, just spun up to speed and did a spray rinse for a minute or two then shut off...what a racket. I did find that when you used the casual cycle it filled the whole way for the rinse but then again that was a 2011 model, probably stricter guidelines on water consumption by now.

Revision 3

1 SHEETS ARE TO BE WASHED ON BULKY ITEMS the washer will not sense sheets correctly especially if there are thin ...

2 extra rise or fabric softer added will give u a deep rince regardless of which one is on and depending on the cycle so just leave softner on even if u dont use it
when both options are on u will get a deep rinse then a single spray rinse

3 i bypass the lid when i want do see whats going on so i can tell u what it does in detail also got videos of mine

4 the washer does a 400 RPM spin between wash and rinse and then for final spin it does a 0 to 400 RPM spin slows to a stop then a burst to 700 RPM and stays there it does this to maintain balance
5 the pump is noisy but during was and spinning when the pump is off the machine is quiet quieter than a direct drive

6 i think yall do not have the revision 3 of this model hence more issues look at the image below

7 the washer fills slow because whirlpool restrict the water from the fill vales ... i think its just a plastic part the restricts it but im not brave enough to open up my machine to do it... i think its restricted because of the sensing of the load imma post a vid of the sensing process

revision 3 has some structural changes and a refined sensing algorithmic in the mother board .. model number WTW4850XQ3
