Hello all,

It has been a busy summer here and we have been working on home repairs and such, we went out for a drive this weekend and came across a Maytag DE-300 Highliner. This is going to be our lower temp dryer so that means we will keep it running on 120.

Hope everyone had a great summer and a good start to the fall

Mike

Nice! I have (or had) the same model in turquoise. My home was lost in the Valley Fire here in California and officials have not allowed us to get in to survey the damage for a week and a half. The laundry room was behind the garage -- am hoping my collection miraculously survived...or at least the '64 Kenmores in the hall laundry closet. Doesn't look good but the house was one of the few that survived in our neighborhood.

oh no!

washerlover/Todd:
I'm so sorry to learn about the devastating news of you losing your house to the fire! I hope the fire didn't affect your collection. Keeping my fingers crossed for you....
:o(

Todd, are you serious, you are not even allowed to check? Fire is one of the things I fear the most. I hope you'll be able to save most of the things you care about.

 It must be very frustrating.

Keeping my fingers crossed for as little damage as possible.

Todd,

My heart goes out to you and all your neighbors as well. California always seems like paradise to me, but some of you pay too heavy a price.

Keeping my fingers crossed for as little damage as possible.

I will 2nd your thoughts Ken, Todd I can't imagine what it would be like to lose your home and all your neighbors homes as well.

Hopefully a lot of your stuff will survive and us AW folks will help you find some new treasures if you need them.

Todd, I hope that your collection survived, too.  I'm also deeply afraid of fire, especially since the house in Ogden is surrounded by acres of old-growth woodland.   Please let us know as soon as you have more news.

Todd, I had been thinking about y'all for the last several weeks.  But I made a bad assumption that since my sister and brother-in-law were fine in Petaluma, you were probably going to be ok.  Bob

Hope everything works out for you Todd. Hopefully your valuables managed to make it thru the madness.

Everyone here has their fingers crossed, with positive thoughts and energy for you.
