Newtons Old Maytag Buildings Repurposed

A UNESCO World Heritage Site candidate?

 

The town of Ivrea, Italy is a UNESCO World Heritage Site preserving the 20th Century architecture commissioned by Olivetti.  Are the Maytag buildings on a par historically?

 

Perhaps someone in Newton can look into it.

I couldn't agree more.
At least they're not being torn down. But, it would have been nice to see some American manufacturing make use of them.

I hope they are as interested in preserving the exterior as they are about the interior, particularly the Maytag verbiage. They should use the Maytag name for the entire development and save on signage cost.

According to the video narration, the old Maytag buildings are to be turned into a hotel and an apartment complex (different buildings).
