Inside the secret passage to clean refrigerator air:
Does anyone know who makes this for Viking? We couldn't figure it out after checking the Electrolux, LG and others for clues to it's origin. The fan-forced drying looks Asko or LG but neither claim responsibility. The machine, though made to feel hefty by chunky handle and outside rack rails, over sized door springs, etc but had an overall Asian level of sophistication and build quality which was only slightly surprising from Viking.

Asko used to be the source for Viking Dishwashers, I think they took over the manufacturing themselves due to the failure rate they were seeing. That dishwasher you have pictured as a 1/2 horsepower pump that adjusts velocity based on the cycle. I am pretty sure that model runs appox 1300.00 to 1500.00. Nice unit may be worth the price just for the 1/2 horsepower pump

Phil, an interseting introductory video contained within that link you provided. the exampled old-fashioned dishwasher was a Maytag reverse rack dishwasher. Wonder how well the 5-stage self-cleaning filtration system with ultra hard food disposal ystem actually works. Maybe someone there should let me dump in a BobLoad of horribly dirty dishes. As someone here said somewhere else, put a 1/4 pound of hamburger in the dishwasher. Well I put in thta much hamburger and rice too lol.
