Nice 1950's Westinghouse range for sale in Central WI

Looks like this range would be a great daily driver for the new owner as well.  Too bad the seller didn't include a closeup pic or 2 though.

That's a nice one and it looks TOL.  The Corox burner elements alone are worth their weight in gold, but $700 is kind of steep.

Mid to late 50s. For an early 50s TOL Westy, see I Love Lucy. We had one just like theirs. Estimate $700 inflated is 2/3rds of the original price. Well, better they would appeal to collectors than set it by the curb.

OLD WH ELECTRIC RANGE

Cool early 1950s range, I have lots of good used surface elements for most 50s- 80s electric ranges if anyone ever needs them.

That range is 1950 or 51 at the newest. There was one in the Community Forklift store for a while, but it was a single oven model and if I am investing 40 inches of space, I want two ovens.

That range iis not in the 1951 Westinghouse Catalog I have

But a few oif the ranges in there have the same knobs and handles so I am guessing this is probably the TOL model for 1949-1950...PAT COFFEY

Please check the CL ad now, they've included the Westinghouse fridge ala "I Love Lucy", and upped the price from $700 for just the range, to $1000 to include the added refrigerator.  Methinks they have now gone a bit overboard!

Compared to the stove, the refrigerator is very low end.  Both appliances do look exceptionally clean and well cared for, but $300 is a way high price for way low bling on that fridge.

 

They will have both of them for a while with what they're asking.

Adjacent to this thread is a 1952 Westy, verified by the copyright on the manual. Looks 3 years older (1949) with the rounded edges, whereas this looks 5 years newer with the sharper ones.

Surely Westinghouse didn't vary styles from deco to modern within that short time.

WESTINGHOUSE STOVE AND REFERGERATOR

These two appliances were are both from the same era. Stoves are usually less rounded than refs [ I guess it keeps the pans from sliding off the top ] but seriously many brands did the same thing back then.

New day, fridge is there. Looks like Lucy's. Except the couple seasons they used the 'pushpad open' model, which wouldn't open if the script called for it unless the stagehands remembered to plug it in.
