Yes it is, I want to pick it up, but I am at war against myself, I must clean up my shop and get things out, but how can I pass up something like that. $150 if anyone wants it, but it will be at the scrap yard soon...

I always have my eyes open, and like getting dity, love dumpster diving. As for theses beauties going to the scrap heap, It makes me sad too, $150 for that Hotpoint is silly cheap, but the problem is shipping, it is ridiculous. I wonder if the group could make some kind of travel board to help other members move, sell, buy, swap appliances with ttrips they are going to make already. Hell, I'd donate one of my trailers to the cause. Shipping just kills those of us with modest means.

Your suggestion of a travel board might have some possibilities. You're absolutely right that shipping is a killer. The Jenn-Air you have offered here is my dream range, and I would be salivating to have it if only it didn't have to be shipped from Michigan to Georgia. Maybe something can be worked out amongst the members who have trucks, vans, etc. It would be a great idea if it could be made to happen!

Every once in a while, our resident GTO Goat expert Kenny (goatfarmer), will post about a tractor group that moves tractors across the States. He has said a few times that these guys also move other items along with the tractors.

It be great if we could organize shipping, or swing a deal with a shipper for all of our transactions, that might get us reasonable rates too. A lot of the stuff I post goes to the scrap yard, which is a shame, but I can't wharehouse stuff that people want, but can't afford shipping.
