VCCC and nasty old bitter queens........
John, Robert and company,
I'm the first to admit as the past president of the VCCC that the website we developed is AWFUL! It is against everything I wanted as well as many of the members, but the webmaster is the LA equivalent of the Wicked Witch Of The West in terms of running it and Robert and I have discussed this on some level.
Us VCCC folks are MOST grateful that we can post here with text and pics until we have Robert design our own interactive website, (it is forthcoming and details will be announced when appropriate), and then less space will be used by those of us with a vacuum fettish or the like.

And, yes, the VCCC, members do pay an annual fee for basically 4 newsletters that are now non-existent. It is my hope as the past Pres. and current Board Member, that we can become a totally all on-line affair and dump the newsletter which is terribly expensive.
John, I am sorry that the VCCC website is so "nothing." I did my best to try to change it on more than one occasion but it was always the webmaster, not the Board or membership, that put up the resistance.
The VCCC certainly has it share of bitter old VERY nasty queens, (all over a hobby that's focus is machines that pick up dirt, go fgure), but I think there is light at the end of the tunnel. There is a very dedicated, centered group of us that want the club to thrive and be fun and interactive like what we see here.........what we have to do is change the leadership, get the membership on board and THANK Robert for building us a website that will allow those things to happen.
Enough said. I for one, would be willing to make a reasonable/sizeable donation to Applianceville as a token of my appreciation for being so wonderful to me and the vacuum collector people. We have been treated wonderfully by the folks of Applianceville and I'm so glad we have been able to "suck" vacuum appreciation people out of their closets.
After several of us vac folk started posting pics of our collections and mini-meets, lots of pics of other people's collections of vacuums and appliances popped up and I say, HORAY for that. Aren't we fortunate to have this site, courtesey of Robert and John, to which I say again and again, thank you.
So, maybe someday they will let us contribute $$$$ as a way of saying thanks and hopefully in the near future we will be able to bop back and forth from Applianceville to Vacuumland and let the posting continue.
