NON HE detergents

Are there any Non-HE detergents out in the market today. I may be a little old fashioned but I like to see suds during the wash portion of the cycle. I do not mind second rinsing if necessary. I have checked all the local markets here and there is nothing to choose from but HE detergents. Any help?

that's pretty much the norm today.....all detergents have gone HE and low sudsing....

if you want to create some suds, along with your regular dose of detergent, squirt in some dish soap, like Dawn, which will add suds, as well as boost cleaning of clothes, and machine....

As far as I can tell, the Mexican powdered detergents are not designated as HE.   You can find them at any dollar store, and at some supermarkets -- for sure the Mexican ones.  Also, Target carries "Hero" liquid detergent.  It may say it's HE, but it sure doesn't behave like it in my FL Affinity.  I'm surprised the various P&G products that claim they're "for both" types of machines don't produce enough suds for you.  I can't use any of them -- liquid or powder -- in my Affinity due to over-sudsing.

I Bought Roma and Ariel

at my local H-E-B when I bought this new SQ TL a few weeks ago, just to experiment. I'd never have used them with my front loaders.

I've noticed that both of these Mexican detergents, particularly Roma, suds more than the HE detergents that I've used for many years. No, they don't go over the tub, but if you like admiring suds, you'll probably be satisfied.

BTW--I found out quite soon that using half the recommended amount worked just fine. However, where I live in the Houston area, these detergents aren't really cheaper to any extent than just stocking up on name-brand when on sale.

Look at Bottom Shelf/Bargain Brand

Detergents...

Many cannot afford the technology that goes into TOL (advanced enzyme cocktails, suds control, surfactants..) so stick with tried old formulas much as still allowed.

That and or hit discount stores, fleaPay, estate sales and whatever to buy up vintage detergents. There is rather quite a lot still out there, however on eBay, Etsy or whatever shipping can be rather dear for even just one box.

If it is froth you want, try the "American" Persil from Henkel/Dial, especially if you can find the older formula. You'll have more suds than you can imagine. *LOL*
