I'm curious. I bought this for really small loads so I don't have to use a full POD in 1/3 of a tub of water. I find myself washing dusty rags and bibs separately using Dawn Dishing washing liquid to avoid detergent overdosing and wasting $$$. My question is, is Simply Tide Fragrance Free the old none HE version of Tide free and clear? Or is this something else? With no fragrance like Simply Tide (which I find to be severally water downed tide with migraine inducing fragrance added) how does this compare? And how well does it clean compared to regular Free and Clear?

I believe Tide has gone back to non HE detergent options unless that's always been the case because I thought Tide had been making detergent all HE a while ago. The last time I bought myself a jug of liquid Tide Mountain Spring, it was creating excessive foam in my front loader until I noticed there was no HE markings on it. So I reached out to Tide about this just yesterday actually and confirmed to me that some detergent are non HE. Anyways with that being said, I'm not sure if this is the actual original Tide Free & Clear liquid they've had in the past. But I wouldn't be surprised if they did changed the formula on it like they do with everything else including my all time favorite Tide detergent. I wish Tide would go back to making the scent on the original non HE powder detergent, apparently alot of reviews on Tide's website agree. And I've read that Tide's Mountain Spring was the actual Tide Original liquid detergent until they changed formulas with their original and renamed the other original Mountain Spring. Not sure if that's true or not but I really do love the Mountain Spring scent, I think that's my most favorite liquid detergent ever.

Said exactly what I was thinking! I assumed Tide discontinued all HE detergent but I guess they haven't. I prefer non HE detergent since I still have a top load, the low suds HE makes it difficult to dose. I wish they would bring back the original scents, they were gentler. Since they switch I've had to use Dreft and Free and Gentle.
