Kevin: the 8:00 position is the bleach dispenser.

I remember my grandma's '62 Wards Signature washer had the burp-a-lator system: bakelite base with a white agitator column and white filter pan with the bakelite top like my '64 Norge. The '64 I have below is the type with the rear-mounted pump filter -- I'm still seeking a filter pan for it if anyone has any leads..!

The shot you all want to see.

I'm guessing early 1980s or later 1970s, since it has the visible fill spout. This one may be either TOL or close to it. I pulled out the bleach dispenser drawer for this shot. I have the lint filter pan, but it's in bad shape and needs to be replaced. Barring replacement, you may be able to get very creative with 2-part epoxy. I also have the FS dispenser that sits atop the filter pan.

Timer dial.

At this point, my camera's battery died. I can email these pics in MUCH larger versions if anyone wants. The more I see this washer, the more and more I like it. I'd love to keep it, but I've got too many projects already, so I'd be glad for this one to go to a place where it could be put in service again. I'd rather have a Montgomery Norge like my mother had, circa 1981, and more MOL.

I've never plugged it in or put water in it. When I got it, I was told it may need a motor (I may have one in my parts stash). I was also told some bearings were going out. I don't know if this means some sort of spin bearing or inside the transmission. Like I said, I've never tested this one or even looked at it much.

I'd love to see this one running again,

Iv'e Been trying to get to this thread Forever and a day... 

I have some nice videos when I was on my summers AW trip .

I had such a melt down in my life that it's taking awhile to get back on track.

And there is still much more to do to get back on track.

That being said, I want to thank all of the people I meet in the mid-west this summer and in Canada I had a BLAST !

My first encounter with a Burbulation Norge Machine was in the early seventies 8 or 9 yrs old.

My grandmother on my dad's side Viola was her name, which I called Mama took me too North Carolina.

Where I first meet my Aint and my cousins,  Now this was a nice little home with a red dirt road.

All I can remember was that they was fascinated that I was fascinated about that washer that was in the kitchen.

Sooo my aint who was a happy women and her two older daughters put up a chair in front of this lit washer....

and let me stare at this machine.

 

I never had a reception like that ever ...

But this Norge had a RED Burbulator agitator and I never seen one since.

She said I can watch all I want , but put that lid down when it spins.

I did do that ...but I would peak when spraying an I got Soaked ! lol.

Anyway that washer was so much fun from the other machines I was use too like Kenmore & Whirlpool.

The sound ..Like a Bees nest swirming around when washing and the long cost down from spinspray rinsing, was all new to me....That's why I got soaked with water lol.

 

Mark I'm glad that Todd has a real jewal for you and I hope that it works out well.

I never seen that model , and the Peace sign is so NEAT .

Peace my brother....my parents where Black hippies we had white & black and other in our house all the time...

That's why I never understood racism my parents never talked in a negative fashion about other races in my house.

And I'm a better person for it today.

Rick...I love your Norge I looked at it on the tube forever and a day as well as that whirlpool..

The control panel is just great, makes one happy.

 

Todd M...The machine you have is almost identacal to my other family member rows of buttons ..

but with a lighted dial in green & white, your dial must have that small clicking sound that Ben talks about in his video.

Love that dial.

 

Mr. Kevin ...You have a nice new on in your collection now ..WHAT'S NEXT lol

Drew always finds or gets the nicest machines...I beleave Jamie our his aunt has the same one it's in a video.

 

So I went In our Archives To get the one that started it all...

I call him Old Grandpa ...

Robert's machine ...Louis does not like this one as much thats funny he is A loud one and at times....Quit.

Malcolm said it that Norge machines are very industral sounding VERY strong motor.

I never understood the drag washing technique ...but yaa it's the water that cleans maybe a little more wear ?

2.        This Particular Agitator to me throws more water at the top it seems.

           Then later modeled Burp systems.

Now about that Hotpoint I came upon that one in the 70's as well.

Beautiful Agitator someone called it here THE MOST ORGANIC looking .

I like that agitator it was the end of a real Hotpoint.

But the action from there scoop and throw was much gentler then a Burp Agi.

So while visiting Mike in Peoria Illinois He was so gracious to rent a car and explore the mid west.
First I saw Todd in Quad city for a hot moment more on Todd's( Volvoguy ) story later.
Then straght to Robert's and Freds home.
And what a great TIME what a nice soooo much fun of a person Mr. Seger is.
As well as Fred they made me feel so at home..if not better thanks guys.

I got to run old Grandpa I just have a spot in my heart for the machine.
It Truly is a HOG , PIG , Bee Swirming sounding machine.
Every washer I used has just about the same laundry in it.
My clothes.

So more of the washers I post you will see the theme of them.
This was the last washer I used at Robert's more on his story later as well.
There is no way of using all of them in a two day stay lol.
TO MANY !

The best part of being with Robert is that he share the most important part in just about all of us ...
He watches with pride.. I never would have thought... A very warm person and I felt whole.
And will never forget it.

it ...Because it's symbolizes Norge.

Spin & Spray.
This solid tub can take water out so fast.
I also think it has a very nice porcelin basket with the holes up top.
Makes it much unique.
And it is pretty much a quit spinner.

That's my take on the Norge.
Now could I fix one Nope not yet.
Great machine very Vintage.
If you like them or not.
They truly have there own charecter.
