Not a nutone but better!

Saw that ad for the nutone vent hood a little too late ordered our Vent-A-Hood for our cooktop a few weeks ago. The original SS 42" with external motor was long gone. And I should have known, it was taking weeks to get in, there was a reason, I ordered the 9" deep version. I needed the 6". $300 flushed down the pot
Can't wait to start searing up some viddles again!
That Braun in the pic was chunked. Couldn't vent up only back out the front. Noisemakers I call them.

We got a Vent-a-Hood several years ago and like it very much. Clears things out very nicely.

Good to know. I've been skeptical bc of those wimpy ones I've used in the past but can't wait to try out this one.

There is absolutely no comparison. Only thing I'm frustrated with was that I got it at Great Indoors and the one they had on display was stainless...I wanted white and assumed that the white was only the outer shell and that the "works" would be stainless...no; it was entirely white. I was skeptical and wrote VaH to make sure that you could put the "works" into the dishwasher even though it was white enamel and they assured me that you can. I do that about once every six months or so.

We love our Vent a Hood. I don't think a better range hood can be found.
