Oh the pain...

When I got home and laid down, that is when I realized we had moved a 300+ pound frig! But the best part was when we were at the junk yard. We used the Krispy Kreme box as a 'towel' on the bottom of the frig.

It sounds like it is keeping the beers nice and cold; a victory drink for this evening!

It's probably FPI 13B 61,which is Frost Proof Imperial 13 cubic ft Bottom freezer,1961.CH must have to do with the stainless finish.
Nice find! I knew of a similar refrigerator years ago in a friend's dad's house. It may still be there,I don't know.

Oh Shit!!!

I just got home and looked at the picture again. To late now but you shouldn't have pluged that thing in until it sat for awhile!! I didn't look close this morning, you guys had it on it's back! You have to let them sit and let everything drain back down before you plug them in! If that things burnt up I'm coming to Iowa and kicking your butts!( and it's not even mine!) Oh I hope it's OK! Check the compresser nuts and see if they tightend them up before they pitched it( doubt it ) If they are real tight you need to loosen them a little. I think in that model there is a ice-ejector inside the freezer door. The kind that has the pull. Top right.

Whoa-

Hey Bethann, I had no idea, so thanks for the advice!

Don't worry, we actually had it on it's side in the car and it took a couple hours getting it downstairs and cleaned up. I just got home and the condensor coils are uniformly warm so I think we're ok! Oh yeah, the beer is ice cold!

Where are you Ben?? : )

way COOL

Maybe the "3 door sticker" was peeled off the 70's replacement sxs, when this one was delivered and went to the original owners gararge for the beer and soft drinks. Its beautiful and just waiting for a kitchen with a Flair.

Cold Beer?

Ooo, THAT cold beer... well, since I'm on my way to St. Louis, I'll stop by on Monday to sip back that Nati Lite! I'm glad to hear it is running in tip top shape!

Question for the board --- this unit is missing the upper meat tray. Are these hard to find or are they inter-changeable with other models/years?

Bethann's Ejector

Yes Bethann, you were correct stating that it had an ejector on the top right of the freezer door, and to the left is a rack to hold your frozen juice concentrate. Was there a special ice tray for this ejector, or could you use a regular Frigidaire ice tray in this model? There is an add on the Bay right now for the owners manual to a 1960 model that shows the same ejector.

Ice trays

If I'm not mistaken... The Ice ejector tray that goes to the one that you have doesn't have pegs. Is there any colored anodized metal inside the fridge? If so, that is the color of trays that you need. You know, match, match, match!!! I've seen them in Pink, Turquoise, Gold and Silver. The trays are very heavy. Is there a Cold-pantry picture window in the inside. Lets see some pictures!

A friend of mine is selling a old refrig meat tray on ebay.I dont know what yours is supposed to look like so heres the number 6150732032

Kenny, here's a pic of the ice collector, the metal accents for the freezer are silver, and the paint on the leading edge of the fridge shelves is blue. Any clues on what tray might fit?

Drmitch, I took a look, but what this one needs is the whole drawer. It figures they took out the drawer and the small shelf that would go above the drawer to leave them with an entirely flat upper shelf for beer/pop. One's gotta pop up somewhere...

Now why don't I have that kind of luck? :)

My grandmother had the Exact model in white, in her house they built in 1961; wish I had it!

Great model, ENJOY!!!

Frigidaire ice

Ok, I am no expert on this but....when I went to the local thrift store last week, there was this aluminum "holder" that looked suspiciously like it came from the freezer section of a refrigerator. It is about 10-12" long, approx 4" wide and approx 4" high. Could this be what you are looking for? There is no top on it. It is just open. I'll be glad to pop in there Wednesday (when they open) and pick it up.

In total ignorance and total awe of your find -

Venus

This is what they look like

Minus the pegs that are on the end. The pegs go to the ones that slide in. If the trim is anodized blue the trays were probably anodized blue. I've seen a few on ebay.
