Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Terry, the purest form of happiness in life (after strong coffee, of course) is having machines that are not coin-operated.

Also, there's the thrill of knowing that whatever yuk accumulates in them is purely your own.

But I think Launderess did that topic mega-justice in one of the Super threads recently...

You are so right about that Nate!!! For anyone who has had to go to laundromats for any length of time having ones very own washer and dryer is such a blessing!!

Also, there's the thrill of knowing that whatever yuk accumulates in them is purely your own LOL I'll never forget the fun that you, Roger, and I had with that sheet getting ready for the Tucson Wash In!!!

Did someone say cigarette?

When I bought my first condo-townhouse in 1987, it had a less than a year-old Kelvinator-branded washer paired with a mid-late 60's WP two speed gas dryer. WP dryers had already kicked the porcelain top habit by that point it I couldn't get the flame to come on so out it went. I was thrilled to have the washer though as I'd never had one to play with before. Mine was not quiet and I thought the performance was middling at best but I had a blast playing with it. A great spray-rinse as I remember.

Congrats on the new place, Nate and keep the washers and pictures coming! Craigslist has new and exciting wonders every day ;-)

Hee hee!

Love the pic, dear ;-)

I'm rendering the video I compiled to YouTube, so expect a fun-fest in an hour or so.

Yes, it has a great spray-rinse, but you'll see why you need it when the video debuts...

I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to see the CR reviews for this from that year. Considering they still did the infamous orange-washcloth turnover tests (in which the twenty-pound Magic Chef kicked everyone's butts and sent them home crying), this machine should have placed below a Speed Queen.

That Custom Deluxe wall oven is still going strong, Electri-Clean and all :-) And yes, the waffles were too much fun! I still have that waffle iron (it's been to here, Missouri, and back), as it was my grandmother's, and the recipe I've found (I found a better one) is to die for. Straight from the 1956 Betty Crocker cookbook! :-) No more buttermilk for this boy!

The house here has room for a 40-inch range, and you can bet your behind I'm going to take advantage of that ;-). A GE range like Greg's showed up here (temp probe and all), but I didn't have the coin (nor the crane) to acquire it...but you can be sure I will! :-D

Nate, my friend had that washer and the rollover is bad.
But I had a good time with it, I just do smaller loads with it 360 wash action round&round washing lol.

It is a nice looking agitator, with little wave action.
have fun with it,Enjoy!
