Matching Dryer

I was gadding about Spokane,Wa. a week ago today and saw
the dryer mate to your hopeful. I saved the stores card!!
Spokane had some great vintage appliances; I just had a feeling it might be a gold mine. I am morose that I
carelessly let an early 60's Whirlpool slip away; I have been too mortified to confess!!!!

a wonderful machine

this one is real fun to play with and restore. hope someone here saves it. its easy to work on. i have the same one here. and if your lucky there wont be any dead mice in it when it comes home. honest its nice machine someone should go for it

I just got an e-mail from the owner and I don't think he's too thrilled about the possibility of shipping. If there's a Craters and Freighters around, they will even pick up the machine; at least that's what they did for an N2LPS I bought in the Boston area.

Mark ... that clutch spring sounds "spooky"!!

Thanks for the advice and encouragement everyone; if I do this, this will be my first automatic restoration!! Now THAT'S "spooky"!!!!

Geoff

Wish me luck, everyone!!

Here we go; let's see where this auction takes us!!

Only 4 days to wait ... I think I can handle it.

Well Did You Get it?

I see the last bid was 150.00. Wondering if you got the nice Maytag!

Let us know!

Steve, then I have more to say about the 65 Frigidaires sold for 3000.00 yea right LOL

Ebay MayTag Washer

Yep this is the first time since 65 i saw the SAME washer we had in Greenwich CT.. The water level control on the lid made the button hard or soft to push... The agitator top would rise up and push it, this flipped a mercury switch in the lid to start washing... The flipper thing on the lid is for the off balance control..... WOW! After all these years kinda like seeing and old friend..

Now that's weird, ToddMan

But interesting of course. Hope you get this washer, Mr. Delp. Those old Maytags have to be interesting. We are all excited about this out here!

Hi everyone ... Yep ... looks like I won! I didn't even watch it this weekend; I was so busy with my garden and then cooking dinner for Mother's Day yesterday, that I didn't even pay attention. I guess it was meant to be.

Looking forward to receiving and starting the restoration. My friend in Illinois still has a lot of new parts for this machine and he told me that he even has a new timer, if that's what it turns out to be. So ... I'll need lots of advice from everyone here!!

I guess I better start making room in the garage, huh? :-)

Thanks for support everyone!!!

Geoff

Hi Geoff, congrats, you will have a lot of fun with this machine! We can all help with the restoration tips along the way.

Les ... not sure of date yet. I was told a 101P; I'm assuming it's the first in that series. A Maytag brochure I have from the mid 1950's shows a 102P ... I don't know what the difference is.
