Okay, let me start off by saying that I still don't have my machines hooked up yet. I bought a few train collections last year and have used all my spare time selling them over the winter. So I am ready to delve back into appliances again.

There are numerous appliance collectors (and operators like Jimmy) within a few hours' drive (Akron, Cleveland, Columbus, Buffalo, Charleston, State College, etc.) of each other and most of us have never met in person. Is there any interest in us picking a day and place to meet and talk some serious appliance talk? We hear about wash-ins in other areas, so why can't we try it here. If it is my place, however, it will have to be a look-at instead of wash-in. Oh you could put clothes in, but without water they won't come very clean.

I have transportation issues.

Carpooling with friends to Boston in mid-July. I contribute to another website (humor, not appliances), and friends from downstate Ohio are picking me up.

Hi Jimmy,

There are too many members for me to look up each profile to see who is local. The few I did find listed an incorrect email address. I thought that since you and I are only 2+ hours apart, it would be fun to see who else is within a few hours of us and get together to talk (and possibly have them take home) appliances.

I still have to pick up that 1-18 set and the rollermatic for you. I also have the matching dryer that you gave me to get back to you. And of course, we just HAVE to hit the 3 appliance graveyards again SOON.

Maybe I should have listed this topic under the Vintage section, but I thought everyone would look here, too. BTW, how is that latest Custom Imperial set? Did you find room for it yet?
