I can't take tomorrow off...

its month end, I've got 2 more 12 hour days yet, I wish I could just call in tomorrow!
I spent most of the afternoon/evening with Little Fred, we visited a locak thrift store, then dined on home-made chicken soup, then played with more vacuums. Its been a fun weekend, but now my A** is draggin!
Off to sleep for me now!

morgan

hey morgan, i have seen magazine print ads for that eureka in mags from 1947 and 1948. I thought when i saw those " damn, they've ( eureka ) had that same hood design forever!" The ad said something like " this vacuum walks by itself or on air or something like that. I glad you had a great time. oh, how do those attachments attach? underneath where the brushroll is or on top like the sixties uprights? and what attachments are included?

More Pictures...

I have a few pictures, too..

Tons and tons of fun! The dinner was amazing, the vacuums were fabulous, and the company of everybody was the icing on the cake! Happy Birthday again, Fred... (Mar. 2) I can't believe this weekend came and went so quickly!

Oh, and for those who are interested... I didn't have to sleep in the Garage. :)

I too am "dragging" a bit today after such a fantastic weekend. The pictures shared don't tell the whole story, we really had a fun time. As always Fred was a fantastic host. Those turquoise Frigidaire appliances are beautiful and when Jeff finds the right house he is going to have one great looking kitchen. The KA dishwasher is in wonderful condition and I can't wait to see where Fred decides to put it. A great time was had by all!! Terry

Paging Miss Charlotte Hollis!

Here Charlotte Hollis, (Mark), tries out Captain Morgan's, (Morgan), 1956ish Eureka upright with the ORIGINAL disturbulator. "Disturbulator"--how great is that a name for a brushroll?

What the hell is a disturbulator?

Well, here it is. Check out the neat rows of brushes and it is a killer cleaner. Morgan also brought the complete set of tools in the original box.

Another shot of the attendees.

Here you see Ida surrounded by the vacuum crazies with his "new" Kirby 562 that was his birthday present from the group. Also, a new face and that would be Miss Karen Barth, Fred's assistant from the office.

This was one of the best mini-meets we have ever had. Thanks Ida & Co. for a wonderful time!

Captain Morgan's Eureka

Helen, (you know who you are!) So Morgan's Eureka is from 1956ish? I have an ad from a 1947 Good Housekeeping with a model Eureka that looks like that. Maybe they kept that model going for a long while. Aunt Modette. ( MY other name) I guess we all have one, don't we?
