The race home will not be concluded until Ida stops at "Sidney's" and has the works including waxing.

Jimmy has not been located yet but I have not finished going through everything yet! I'll have to post some pictures of some of the items I have found.
 
It's admirable that your helping an aging friend by cleaning out their closets and cabinets for them. It's best though that they not find out as that sometimes leads to a fear that they can no longer "keep house" properly anymore and may have to go to a nursing home. In doing so myself I have often found the friends lost jewellry or valuable coins fallen through the heating vents in the bedroom but could never understand how they got thru the grillwork all wrapped up in felt and ziplock bagged. Again it's best not to say anything but take the items home for safekeeping. That's what friends are for.

I have an apron that has that has the statue david on it that would REALLY look great on Jeff Parker!!! (okay i said it) I realy wish i lived closer to you guys so that i could make it to those mini conventions! have a great time all of you.
 
Sounds like I may need to be the referee!

Bags are packed, vacuums ready, and were off to St Charles, I hope everyone is still alive when I get there. I hope little Fred has good running shoes... it is supposed to get really cold this weekend.. sleeping in the garage could be cold.

Terry you are arriving before me, leave a signal if it is safe to enter... possibly an apron hanging in a window...

Toggle- I think your interpetation of the vacuum get together is appropriate-I mean, what else is there to call it??

Louis-I resent that.............just kidding! I would prefer to be in my home city of Phoenix, Arizona (Land of the Sun) but what are you gonna do? Gotta be where hubby's job is. :)

Vacuum get togethers are fun

Just have to be careful not to blow fuses....

When the VCCC toured my collection in 2004 there was one point where there were over 20 people in my house, and about 8 vacuums running at one time.
I was waiting for a blackout!
 
What no pics yet???

I spent last evening in St Charles, Fred cooked a wonderful dinner, and the conversation and company were fantastic.
Charlie demo-ed his Kirby home turbo group, some very interesting gadgets there.
We also celebrated Fred N.'s birthday(coming March4 I believe)
From the group Fred recieved a factory rebuilt Kirby model 562, complete. Jack's and my present to him was a Hoover Guardsman U4125.
It was a wonderful evening with lots of fun and laughs, Pictures were taken, I guess they will turn up later today.
Fred(Ida) thanks for a great night!

I am totally wasted and trying to recover. Everyone is on their way back home. What a fabulous time!!! I will post my picture album totally unretouched and not yet captioned. You fill in the blanks. Fred, i love the pictures, i'm glad everyone had a good time. I love the Kirby 562! That is the Kirby i grew up with. I really like that Eureka upright that Mark and Morgan were looking at. Pretty new looking for a machine that debuted in the late 40's!

You are the perfect host!! The pictures don't tell the whole story. We had the most wonderful meal prepared by our Host and his assistant Terry Latz. My thanks to all for a wonderful weekend. It was great to see everyone and enjoy all the different vacuums. I had some first time experiences using machines. First for a Compact and the Hoover Constilation, Inovation and Savy.

Marty, the Eureka you spoke of earlier is a machine that I purchased from Hans Craig. Can you tell me what years that machine was produced. I have the complete tool set as well. It is a model S-250.

Well time to recover and take a little snooze. This old body is not used to those 2 AM mornings anymore!!! Fred used his head and took tomorrow off,, now why didn't I think of that!!!
