Dog Hair and what I NOW use to combat it........
Hey Jeff,
So there was this one time that I was lost in the north western section of Ann Arbor with my roomates looking for a place on UofM campus where they sell used computers and parts to keep our older stuff going..
When lo an behold we happened on a Human Society, which is where we attempted to turn my car around in. Well the TownCar never made it to reverse again, to get back out of the space that I pulled into. It wanted to..it wanted to show the shiny red (R) but the wand wouldn't move...we was stuck!!!lol
Well the first thing you know we look at all the puppies, and of course I spotted a beautiful brindle Pitt that reminded me of my Lucydog. However I could not justify that kind of animal or the cost to adopt $229.00.
So we checked the regular canine section and of course we went thru all of them, and wasn't all that super impressed by what we were seeing, or ow they were acting and so forth. So on the way back thru (Picture a LONG hallway with cages on either side)...they had apparantly inserted another animal into an empty kennel...becasue...there he was in his golden labrador splendor, mixed with we could tell a dab or so of beagle...our new dog Duke.
He just floored all of us, and especially my roomate Pax who was going in now halvsies with me to get the newest member of the house. And now that he's home, I have found that he sheds like crazy also.
Funny side story, so there was this one time a DAY before when a lady traded in a Royal PowerTank Canister Cleaner Model 4650. In beautiful condition , but the powerhead was shot. I replaced the powerhead almost immediatly along with the wand assy, and walked out of work with a brand new Royal basically for about $80.00 which was my cost of parts. She ended up buying a much lighter Miele Red Star from me.
BUT THAT'S NOT ALL...so about an hour before leaving work, another lady traded in, for a new Royal PowerCast a Hoover Convertible Deluxe model 1076. NOT ONLY was it in better condition than the Royal, but it had JUST been serviced, and still had the original bag and cord. Guess where both of them are now.....my utility room for my NEW arsenal.
The Eureka Empress II , which was the vacuum that I bought down here is in the basement waiting to be transported back to Lansing to the hold where all of my oldies are as of now. It most likely just wouldn't have been able to hold out with all the hair and mess that will be thrown at the newer Royal, let alone the cast iron Hoover Convertible.
Anyway that's all for now
