I was at lowes today, and i saw a roper washing machines for like $298. now i could not find it on the web site, for reviews. so i will post a link and show me the feedback. LOLZ

My mom has that very washer. The wash capacity is TINY! For 1-2 people it works out ok, but 3 or more and you really need something that can handle more in a load. It's got the tall, skinny basket, and the lack of a "Gentle" cycle throws a wrench in things for her once in a while.

That said, other than the mid 70's Maytag she used to have, this has been the only washer she hasn't managed to destroy in 2-3 years yet. It's been in service since early 2006 and still running. Her previous washer was a TOL NorgeTag that she kept destroying the timer in. The timer was broken for the 4th time and the pump bearings went, so my dad used it as an excuse to get something BOL for her to abuse instead. Though I don't like "Shredmores", this one has stood up to her abuse.
 
ok. i went to lowes today and i saw it and i was like "mom you are going to get that for my birthday". She said " i think for your 15th birthday we are going to get your permit". And it would be just for me. the family washer is an older tl hotpoint. but i like that washer cause its simple, cheap and i really like the agitator design. i mean the short, fast stroke, and frankly i usually get my clothes pretty dirty. with all the running, jogging, cleaning, and exercising. im kinda a health nut. but how long would you say that washer would last doing about 1-2 loads a day?
