Hi All,
I recently moved in with my beautiful girlfriend, and the house we are renting came with a lovely looking vintage Frigidaire dishwasher in teal green. I'm working through the steps to get it to clean our dishes (vinegar, etc), but one thing escapes me: where to put the soap? It does not have a cup with a door that I am used to. Do I just put it in the indentation, or in the little holes in the top of the door? Please see pics =)

My guess would be where you have the 'or here'...that indentation is where the detergent should go. The "here" is where the vent is..dont put detergent there.

IMHO, it goes in the circular round indentation @ the bottom of the door, not the double rectangular hole.

The other one near the top of the door appears to be a vent.

WOW, thankyou all for your prompt reply! I posted before dinner, and I NEVER expected to have so much info sent when I finished. Turns out we were loading the dishwasher totally wrong the whole time.

Thankyou thankyou thankyou =)

It's easy to load the thing totally wrong. The water shoots from the long slender black tube that's under the middle of the top rack. That washes both racks. don't put any pans or bowls face down in the bottom rack.

We had one of these for a short time when I was younger.

It opens like an oven door and the spring also holds it closed. My Mom hated it because she just wasn't used to the water coming from the center. You do put the soap in the circular indent.
