Old General Electric Dish Washer / Sink Thinng For Sale

My wife and I just purchased our first house and we discovered that the dish washer is a *little* dated. The house was built in the 50s and this, according to the owner, is the orginal washer.

We have already had one offer for this washer but we have no idea what the market for this type of thing is. Even if you are not interested in purchasing this item, if you know the going rate, could you drop me a line at [email protected] and give me a ball park of what I should expect.

It’s a white, General Electric top loading dishwasher everyone from around 1950. In my experience, asking if a vintage washer or dishwasher "works" is just ridiculous, because it just might "work" as it sits but its not going to "work" for long if actually use it, that machine is 55 years old after all. But that said, if you give it a good going over, replacing hoses, the water valve and possible the shaft seal it should be good to go for another 30 years of service.

This would be a fun dishwasher to have, someone might want to save this. A clear lid insert could easily be cut for this machine to watch the impeller action.

This looks like my Youngstown Combo! Wrong name! Did these companies use the same machine? I could restore mine!

This GE dishwasher uses an imperller to spray wash water onto the dishes and has a square tub. The Youngstown dishwashers have a round tub and it uses a vertical spray tower for washing.
