I was surfing ebay and saw this there. It has to be the oldest Kitchenaid mixer I've ever seen. It's army green and has 2 paddles. Model A. Item # 290626862538. They're asking way too much ($999) but may sell it for less. It amazes me to see how people just really don't want to get rid of things because, if they did, they'd ask a lot less especially with the economy the way it is. Who on God's green Earth would even consider paying that kind of price for something that may not even work???

Reason it is so expensive is because

This is a very rare old mixer. The Kaidette is hard to find intact and in working order. The seller of this mixer is a member of WACEM [We actually collect electric mixers] just like Mixfinder.

For KA aficiandos, the Kaidette is like the "holy grail".

Don't remember ever seeing a mixer like this KA before. Interesting, and I like the color. It's much smaller than what I had envisioned; was expecting it to be larger and shaped more like the Hobart N-50. Imagine this was made to compete with Sunbeam, Hamilton Beach and GE mixers of the time, at a lower price than the regular size KitchenAid.

Model A

The model A Kaidette sold for $1.740.00.  Look in your basements and sell it if you find it.
