Old School Ice Trays

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

My recollection about those is: (1) they stick to your skin when you touch them; (2) when you pull the lever, the cubes shatter into a zillion pieces. It's fine if cracked ice is what you want.

I got some for a member at a thrift store for 4.00 a piece, and even then it seemed pricey, but worth the suprise!

IMO...the old aluminum ones work excellent

Give 'em a quick pass of water from the kitchen faucet, just along the outside, set 'em on the counter and give the lever a firm pull. Mine never shatter the ice cubes. (Mine are "Philco" brand with the aqua pull tab on the end of the tray portion.....they go with my '52 Philco.)[this post was last edited: 4/11/2011-00:04]
