Lots of turquoise and pink! Ad was from a few days ago, but the store is closing in 2 days! I wonder how much is still available?

So, I called and talked to the owner. She still has the appliances and they are going to be storing them with friends until they can get sold. She said the turquoise appliances are still available. She says she had someone ask about the pink ones, but no sale yet. She was very nice, and cares very much for the appliances so will not be taking them to a scrap yard or anything.

I'm glad to hear that the seller cares about saving the appliances.
That turquoise Frigidaire refrigerator is very much like the first refrigerator I remember my parents having.
Except theirs was white, and I could swear the handles were on the left.
From what I've seen on this site, isn't that slanted front Westinghouse dryer pretty desirable?
Condition looks kind of sad, but they're probably pretty hard to find in any condition. No?

One Item Is Saved!

I met Sherrie and her husband yesterday. I was able to buy one item from her. She said there was a lot of interest in it and she had several emails with people telling her it was super rare and really valuable. I'm sure that's what drove the price up. But I factored two things into the price. I didn't have to pay $400+ for shipping. And after all of the hurricanes that have hit Florida, how many vintage pieces can still be out there this close to me?

I'll start another thread soon along with some pics of the progress as this will need to have a 'top to bottom' restoration.

Give Her A Call

Jeannine,

Thank you for posting the information in this thread. She still has a lot left, but it is in storage in a few locations. Sherrie says she is getting a lot of inquiries, and some people telling her she has a gold mine (which is what drove the price of this item I bought up) but seem to have no intentions of buying anything.
