If you were to get rid of all of the laundry detergents you had and reduce it to just one for everything (except woollens), what would it be?

Well, I think I've changed just yesterday...

I couldn't resist picking up some "Fuller 86" at the Fuller Brush store (seems so old fashioned to just even go in that place-great stuff). I'd forgotten that it works REALLY well, did a load of whites and they came out really bright. It also has a lot of suds, without residue. The fabric softener is thick and need to premix it before it goes in the agitator, but the smell is very different, and retro smelling. It's now my new favorite I think - will try the powder next time. I'm not too crazy over the PANK labels.

Sudsy wash from the Fuller 86.

Small load, 1/4 ounce (1.5 oz for large loads, but I use 1 ounce) used. Notice how the softener is thick and can stick to the inside of the dispenser--have to premix it...but smells great.

Australian Dynamo Powder or Liquid

Fluffy 'Excite' softener.

I am actually in the process of trying to use only one brand, the cupboard next to the washer and in the bathroom is currently starting to look like a detergent aisle with all the different types in there.

Of course if i had the money I would imported Persil Bio powder but sadly its not financially viable.

Sears Ultra (Orange box)

Cleans very well, gets most of my stains out first time around, has a minimal but pleasant scent; and is very inexpensive!

I wear very little wool, I am a cotton guy, so a bottle of Woolite lasts me for years! A number of years back, Consumer Reports said that there was very little difference between Woolite and hand dishwashing liquid. I keep Woolite around because I like the scent.

Omo matic

Yeah Chris, I think it is a bit sad that they had to change the name from Omomatic to Omo small and mighty, can't see anything wrong with keeping the name Omomatic,do you happen to know why they changed it?
Remember the original box which was white and blue(from memory but might have that wrong.) and had a rather large picture of an open front loader door on the front of the box.
Cheers.
Steve.

Agree....

....the box I first remember was predominately white with some blue (and red?)....where as top load OMO was in a predominately Blue box with white and red...

My feelings are that they've changed the name due to High Efficiency offerings in the top load market that require front load detergent....so it made sense for those users....

...but it will always be OMOMatic....regardless of what they try and rebadge it as....
