We installed a new Bosch dishwasher (Model SHE7PT52UC) about a month ago replacing an ailing KitchenAid tall tub we had for about seven years.

I have to say this is the best modern dishwasher I have ever had. Great cycle options, loading flexibility (love the third rack), capacity, practically silent (except when draining) and everything comes out absolutely spotless.

I was concerned about odors from the manual clean filter but have not experienced that at all. We lightly scrape and do not prewash but have not had odors or excessive buildup in the filter.

Auto cycle with sanitize runs about 2hr 15 minutes. Adding the Speed Perfect option takes it down to 1 hr 30 minutes. Express cycle takes about 30 minutes.

May I be proud and say...

... German engineering? ;)

However, nice you like it! Do you use the softner? And which detergent?

These DW were their most silent for a long time, but Bosch launched a new DW range over here late last year with freestanding models as silent as 39 dB.

What I'm most curious about is a) your drying results with it useing a condesation drying on a probably hot water connection and b) your experience with the Delicate option. It is not implicated on their EU models and the only option I can think of being simmilar over here would be the "Glanztrocknen" (translated roughly shine drying) option, though I don't even know its exact procedure.

Have fun with it!

German engineering indeed. Finest in the world. Germany needs to keep it in Germany rather than what the rest of the world has done and outsourcing lowering the standards!

Looks a very nice washer. I am getting a dishwasher soon after my washer dryer arrives. It will be a Bosch dishwasher. I just trust their stuff .

Yay - another happy Bosch owner.

@ Henrik - US Bosch dishwasher don't use the same condensation system as the Euro units (they don't have the heat exchanger), thus no need for cold water during the drying cycle.

Bosch Dishwashers!

Bob that is one nice DW. Right now I have a GE tall tub from 2003 that I am happy with and runs about 80 minutes on a normal cycle. If I did have to replace the DW I would be interested in the bosch 300 series. I am not interested in the third rack.
I definatly want the Front controls and the rackmatic upper rack. But I especially want that Speed Perfect option. Only a few models offer that option. All these new DW's run to long. The model I am interested in is the she53tl6uc and they also have a lower end she53t56uc that lacks the rackmatic and speed perfect option and goes for the same price. ( I cant figure that one?) The only thing missing on both models is the Express wash cycle that none of the 300 series offer! But anyway like I said the speed perfect is most important to me.
Best Of Luck with your new dishwasher!
Peter

Questions answered...

@ henene4

Most of the cycles I have run I used Somat Powder. About 1 tbsp or 15 mL per cycle. I have used the Finish Quantum tablets on very heavily soiled loads. Both worked well although (not sure why) I am leaning towards the Somat powder.

I do use the water softener. I think it is set at hardness level 5 based on our local water standards/history.

I have not used the delicate option.

The condensation drying seems to work really well. When I open the door at the end of the cycle there is the amount of water I expected to see when opening my KitchenAid tall tub at the end of the cycle. Leaving the door slightly open for about 30 minutes and almost everything is completely dry.
