Modern marvels

Just watched the fantastic episode! Wow it really does work! A computerized blender! Who would'a thunk it?

$400... ouchy. But I would say its a pretty good price on an indestructable item!

I got mine from Ebay for $285 with no shipping. I think that Blendtec employes buy them at wholsale and then sell them on Ebay. I even ordered the 96 oz container and they accidentally sent me the same container that came with it. Then they sent the right container. I called them on how to return the wrong container and they said keep it, as a gift from Blendtec. I was shocked!!! Bill

Nice addition - especially one you can smash raspberry seeds with, very impressive.

I found a similar Osterizer but in black and chrome a while back and while it's a fun and efficient blender, I always go back to the Vita-Mix 3600. I just love the Chrysler building on top of a toaster!

I have both Blendtec and VM blenders-household and commercial models. For both the commercial versions are even more powerful.I haven't tried grinding up Iphones, but foods they do well.Oster does well too.Esp an older "Imperial" I think its what that is-from a yard sale-far better than the new Mexican Oster machines.I have some KA blenders-they don't impress me at all-BUZZZ-BUZZZZ-BUZZZ still food and ice chunks in them My old yard sale Oster does better than the KA's KA needs to stick with mixers. And oh yes the older "metal monolith" VM blenders-have some of these and they are great performers-esp if you use the "Forward-Reverse" modes.Otherwise food and ice peices can hide in the corners of their jars. The older VM machines also put the KA blenders to shame.

That's a pretty accurate description! LOL

I'm actually not considering buying a Blendtec. It doesn't appeal to me, I just don't like the tech look of it. I prefer the looks of a Vitamix, both classic and modern.

I made a few pictures with the Blend-N-Go Accessory Cup Pete sent me.
