We decided to get away for the weekend, so as usual we came home with no money and LOTS of stuff!, We went to South Carolina and Georgia, Don and I met some new friends who are Christmas collectors, Don was thrilled! and I was too!, we visited with them and Don got some good Christmas stuff there, we fond tons of goodies this trip, also, we ate at Mary Macs Tea Room in Atlanta, and both agreed its the very best restaurant we have ever eaten at! NO COMPARISON!! We looked up one of the Lustron Homes we like, we found one in Atlanta still standing,There are several more but we didnt get to them,I looked up the Ellis Hotel, in Atlanta which was once the Winecoff, the site of the deadliest hotel fire in the US in history, I had read the book and wanted to see it.We didnt do much else except rest and get away, but we had a great time. Now for the stuff!!! Most of the stuff we found in Antique malls and junk stores!!

We had one of those braided C7 strings for many years.  That was my favorite one to string up since it was so easy to use the wooden sliders to cinch them up where you wanted.  I guess I let that stuff go when we had the estate sale.  The holiday season is nothing but a PITA to me anymore.

Beautiful treasure haul

When lighted, the blue base, yellow crown and blue bubble tube were my favorite Noma bubble lites. Our neighbors gave my brother and me all of their old series lights & bubble lights when they got cats and switched to an artificial tree with miniature lights and satin balls to accommodate the cats. There was no comparison with the beauty of their tree the year before and the stillness and lack of life & brightness in that artificial tree with those little dots of light after that.
