at the Pittsburgh Wash in, Yogitunes (martin) showed up with a large box of powder and a jug of liquid.

As a LOT was going on I did not have the chance to query anyone as to how well it works (or doesn't).

Can anyone chime in on this?

I did use it years and years ago when it was in the P&G stable. And it did a fine job.

A certain philosophically left-leaning product testing organization with an anti-business slant gives Oxydol an overall score of 35. Cleaning scores in both cool (75 degrees) and warm (90 degrees) water are only Fair. It did not fully remove any of the tested stains. In brief: It's fine for loads that aren't heavily soiled, and inexpensive at only $.12 per use.

For the sake of comparison, both liquid and powdered versions of Tide With Bleach scored an 81, with Excellent cleaning and complete removal of tested stains. Cost per load: $.25 for liquid; $.23 for powder.

The one truly unforgivable thing about Oxydol: It is not available in pod form![this post was last edited: 7/5/2014-22:01]

I'm tellin ya frig,

one day you will go to sleep. And you will wake up all changed.

Trust me on this.

Return to powder now.

Well game, set, match

No Oxydol in my area. None at Big Lots, Bottom Dollah, and (cough, gag, wretch) waldo world.
