Two questions about the POD -

First, what became of Easy?

Second, just reading the features of the advertisement for a 14-lb capacity washer, it would appear to be a quality product.  Was it?  Do any exist in anyone's collection?

"The company was acquired by the Union Chemical & Material Company in 1955 and the "Easy" trademark and washing machine assets were acquired by the Murray Corporation of America (acquired Union's share in 1957) The Easy Appliance Division was sold to the Hupp Corporation in 1963."

" Hupp was acquired by White Consolidated Industries in 1967, and later sold to the Blaw-Knox Corporation in 1986. In 1990, the company was sold to the Sunderland Industrial Holdings Corporation, but it filed for bankruptcy a year later in 1991. It was acquired by CPT Holdings, Inc. in 1992."

Columbia Pictures Television (CPT Holdings) once owed Screen Gems and other entertainment that gave us shows such as "Bewitched" and "I Dream Of Jeannie"

Again, it always pays to wander about the archives.

Murray made bicycles, too.

Is this the thing with the long, slow 2 minute spin drain out of the 4 minute final spin that left laundry poorly extracted like Robert described? Maybe it was a plot to make the water extraction of the Combomatic seem less pathetic.

Murray...

Is that the same Murray that made lawnmowers back in the day? I’ve got one with a Tecumseh engine from ‘89, and it’s an absolute tank.
