Talk about coincidence!

Thanks for the heads up. That's exactly the machine I picked up and was talking about.The only machine that looked better than that was the Insinkerator Classic Supreme in all white with the rapid advance timer and those beautiful green action indicator lights. My aunt and uncle have one in their house in Brooklyn, NY and it is so much quieter than the Monterrey 21 Hobart in their basement kitchen. Both clean beautifully, but the Monterrey being nearly 10 years older is now in need of replacement. But I am sure it will go with the house if they ever sell the place.

Now, as much as I would like to have that one in the picture, I still have four dishwashers in my tool room in the garage that are sitting there unused. That is in addition to the Kenmore talltub in the garage itself that we often use when the KA tall tub mentioned in the other thread is too full or if we have loads of space gobbling plastic containers in the house machine.They get transferred to the Kenmore.

For the record the 4 spares are a KDS-21M Monterrey, a KDS-18, a KUDS-22 and an Electrolux EIDW6105 in Stainless. Now that is one really quiet running machine and it holds more than any other machine I ever had. That darned thing can accommodate 11 inch plates in the top and bottom racks at the same time!

23 Imperial.

I too have a white 23 series Imperial. It's up for grabs if anyone wants it. The pump is siezed (I can get a repalcement easily enough). The price is FREE. It's just not my cup of tea machine.

You are going to love it!

The CLe-44 is a great machine. So much easier to work on and work with for the user. It does a great job of cleaning. It has the Opti-Rinse nozzles which will cut water consumption like 50% so they will be saving on rinse aid and soap. Let me know how you like it.

If the CLE-44 is like any other Hobart/Hobart KA warewasher I'm sure it will blow me and it's competition away. BTW what is the best recourse if the Ball Bearing in the OptiRinse jet stops working. My Ecolab guy said this is common with this dishmachine. He also said he has several accounts with this dishmachine and they love it.

Replace, don't repair!

Nick, the OptiRinse nozzles are not serviceable at all. You must replace them. Easily done by the end user, but the arms are bolted in so you need to remove them to install new nozzles.

I would also recommend that as soon as you can, remove the arms and see if there is a fine mesh screen in the inlets to the arms. This will prevent much of the debris that gets thru the machine's line strainer from messing up the nozzles. If you don't have them, let me know and I will supply the part number for them. They are a good preventive measure for the future. It is amazing what you may find in there!

The control board can be programmed to remind the user to drain the machine every 2 hours or whatever interval you all feel is good, just like some of the Eco-Lab set ups had with the blinking light on the wall!

The LXe is priced at a similar level as the LXi it replaces. Expect list prices in excess of $6000.00. But remember, "Nobody pays list price!"

Contact your local Hobart Dealer and see what he is offering them for.

Also, the High temp machines with built in booster requires a 50 amp 120-
208/240 4 wire electrical supply to be connected to the machine.

It has a pumped drain so it can be plumbed into your kitchen sink or disposer. It comes standard with a fill hose which connects to a regular hose bib connection as well as a 9/16" drain hose.

I'm thoroughly impressed!

That CL-44e is an amazing Dishwasher! The wash action is far better than the C-44A it replaced. It is much quieter and the dishroom stays about 10 degrees cooler. The OptiRinse overall works better than I thought a low water rinse would. I do have them double space the seg trays and lay them forward due to the deep compatments. On a 1-10 I'd give the machine a strong 9.5 for sure. The machine also seems very well built.

You CAN stand the heat!

Nick, I am glad you like the new dishwasher. It is well engineered and built well too. We have not had many complaints at all on its performance and now that it has been out for a few years, Eco-lab knows just how to tweak the chemistry to work well with the lower water consumption. If the glasses and dishes come out less than satisfactorily, look at the operators and how well they are scrapping the dishes and how often they are draining and breaking down the machine to ensure clean wares. I see so many dishwashers who simply think they have to just drain the machine when the unit indicates it is time to do so or Eco-Lab's drain timer tells them the same and then they just fill it back up without even thinking of cleaning the strainer pans and scrap buckets!

Make sure they clean it properly and also keep the floats clean of those bits and pieces from the scrubbing pads.

You probably don't know this but the curtains on this machine and most of our other units are designed as a 4 Ply curtain and have patents pending on their design. The actually do keep the machine temps 6-10 degrees warmer than the standard 2 ply curtains most people seem to want to use. Since they are patent protected, nobody would be able to duplicate the design at this time.

I am sure that helps keep the kitchen/dishroom cooler for all the workers.
