is a very sweet dog named "royal" and he also helped me pick out the dishwashers i ended up bringing home. he thumped his little stub of a tail against the one's he liked and peed on the one's he didn't!
checking out a disassembled frigidaire 1-18 washer in beautiful coppertone! i loved coppertone! these new appliance colors can't hold a candle to coppertone, avacado, and harvest gold!
the one on the left is a speed queen and the one on the right matt will have to describe. it's a european something or other and is a combination washer/dryer i believe he said.
i was sort of interested in the speed queen but i have a frigidaire front loader that i like already plus a whirlpool newer model front loader that i got at lowes as a scratch n dent for 200 bucks that i hate! and with that beautiful frigidaire jet action rollermatic going home with me, well, there was simply no room in my heart (or my house) for any other!
with my questions concerning this machine but please humor me on this! i know very little about them and want to do everything i can to keep her running well! i have read all the old posts on "rollermatics" and the info i have gotten already is invaluable!
but i know i will have future questions for you frigidaire guys and really appreciate your helpful responses!
i just love that jet cone pulsator! and that blue color brings back all those memories of me in the basement watching it go up and down (that didn't come out right, did it)
"everythingold" has a boat load of stoves too! from newer models to that beautifully restored old vintage red stove in the extreme background of this pic.
it's hiding behind that equally beautiful frigidaire dryer. is that a custom imperial, i think it is but could be mistaken.
i should have gotten more pics of that red stove though, it is a real honey!
i remember noticing the belt and was surprised that a rollermatic transmission had a belt drive. then i read all those old frigidaire posts and learned a lot about the 1-18 as well as the rollermatic!
matt has a bunch of microwaves too, one in particular was very interesting, an amana radar range! don't think i got a pic of it though, i wasn't thinkin "microwaves" with all those kitchenaids around!
matt told me to take it as a parts machine but i decided i had enough although i do love those panels. i may offer to buy those panels from him at a later date if he still has em around!
it's my favorite model, a kds 17-a superba. but i have 4 of these now and if someone else wants a superba this one would be quite stunning!
there's that kelvinator i brought home in the background. i have ordered a new water seal for it off the web. they are still quite easy to find for those d&m machines, including the kenmore's like my roto rack i picked up recently in tenn.
