Here is the Patrician, Greg and I rescued last summer, new pump impeller, pump cover, wash arm. Cleaned resealed the dispenser doors. Polished up the front , installed Greg's new silverware basket. Have done three loads already, loving the extra space!! Poor 14 is in storage-for how long is anybody's guess, I'm lovin this machine day by day.

Poor 14 is in storage

I can't imagine that situation changing any time soon now that you have the superior washing ability and ease of loading afforded by a KDP-20.

OK, in recent weeks we've seen the re-deployment of a super clean KDI-20, now a refurbished KDP-20, so it looks like we need  someone to do likewise with a KDS-20 and show it off here.

Okay, Ed..

It's now your turn to showcase your KDS-20!
How about showing us what a real "BobLoad" looks like in it!

Jon, Great looking machine and I too, like the raised install. Years ago, my Mother knew a women who had her dishwasher mounted in the wall like a wall oven so she would not have to bend to load it at all! Not such a bad idea!

Yes I am 6'5 and

I wasn't gonna be stooping 3 times a day for dishes! Especially after 20 years in the restaurant business where Hobarts are all counter height!!

I had them mounted up 10 years ago when I re-did the kitchen. And it was novel then and the contractors were running around scratching their heads trying to come up with a way on how to even do this!!

I let them stew a bit ( more than a bit really, enjoyed it too!!) then said "Order to oven mount cabinets , cut them down 8 inches and voila! Up mounted dishwashers!
Nowadays its common in all the La Ti Dah kitchens.

Techno- that was only lunch and breakfast, just filled that machine and my 25 after cooking a pot of stock, and kneading and baking dog biscuits. They are both full now and humming.

I love the little tight SNAP sound the drain valve makes when opening.

High Mount Dishwasher . . .

I've designed a lot of kitchens through the years but never had anyone ask for a raised dishwasher, though lots of people want higher then standard bathroom cabinets. I wouldn't think it a problem to do, just give the cabinetmaker design drawings showing the desired height and it becomes his problem to build the cabinet. I would want some sort of removeable panel below to allow cleaning in the event of a leak.

You won't find a raised dishwasher in GE's Dream Kitchen concepts which was supposed to showcase innovative appliance placement.

But I do remember a wall mounted dishwasher, I'm not familiar with vintage dishwashers,  either Hotpoint, James, Hobart? It was a lot higher than necessary, yours seems to be just high enough to make a difference without interfering with upper cabinets.

What kind of sound blanket does this dishwasher use?

GE Kitchen . . .

That kitchen is surely beautiful but always makes me laugh with the combo washer-dryer mounted under the oven. I suspect after awhile the owner would be tempted to cut a door through the back wall to service the washer-dryer!

The Patircian dishwasher is completely wrapped

in 1 inch of fiberglass. There is no sound deadening sprayed on the tank, I think that might have been for Superba models. My 2 - 25 Superbas have a thick rubber coating and then 1 inch of fiberglass and they are silent.

Yes the bottom panels on both cabinets just snap into place just in case there was a leak. So far so good.

Jon,

I just love to death how with one swipe of the arm all the supperware falls right into the open DW at the end of the counter.

Such efficiency and how very patrician
