What a whimpy agitator in that thing! I bet that thing barely even stirs the water while it's running. Nothing like the curved vane one my mom's mid 80's filter flo! I guess they put agitators with small vanes on the washers now so they can get away with smaller, lower power motors
KitchenAid Rapid Advance washer - Don S. took this when there was still snow on the ground after he brought the machine home. I'll be picking it up in a few weeks when we go up for a visit.
Greg does this machine have the DD super surgilator sytle agitator or the DAA? I remember seeing these machines in about 89-90 with the surgilator style.
I haven't seen inside, but I think Don told me it was the DAA...
Greg, nice looking washer!! I love the rows of buttons on the control panel. Hope to see a more detailed picture of it.

The Kenmore lighting is awesome - shadows and light reflecting off of the yellow & orange fabrics, terrific!
The Hitachi picture is great Matt - you can even see water being forced out through the holes in the basket!
That Miele with the lights is breathtaking Jon - this new washer is so cool, I want one!

I love the sun being reflected off of the Kenmore...the window in the Studio faces west, and on a nice day this happens quite frequently!
Since we're on the subject of modern washers, here's some plastic FrigiLux TL action at yet another beach house we stayed at in Port Aransas 2 years ago. One of the doors to the laundry room opened outside, which was really nice when it was sunny as the light FLOODED the room...just like washing "al fresco"!!! We'll be going back, staying in the same neighborhood in less than 3 weeks. I wonder if a similar washer will be there...
