Persil Colour Care powder dosing question

So, family is here visiting from Ireland and they brought me a box of Unilever Persil Colour Care powder. I have an LG front loader and am wondering how much to use. Even though this is the more concentrated powder, the dosing instructions seem to indicate way too much.

The standard dose (med soil and med water hardness) listed is 135 mL for a 4/5 kilo washer and additional 30 mL for 6/8 kilo washer. This would be more than 1/2 cup and seems like too much.

I use Henkel Universal Megaperls for whites and light colors at 3 tbsp (45 mL) Persil with 1 tbsp STPP and it works beautifully. Our water is very hard but this seems to be the right amount with the STPP.

I'm thinking of trying 90 mL (6 tbsp) of Colour Care powder with 1 tbsp STPP.

Anyone else have experience with this powder?

In Ireland and the UK, super-concentrated formulations never really caught on for powders and for some reason we ended up going back to big-box formats.

I'd say our Persil's less concentrated than Henkel Persil.

I'd normally use a good 3/4 of a scoop in a 8kg machine and that's in very soft water.

You could always experiment and see how you get on with smaller doses.

Scoop? As with the Henkel's product, the box labeling refers to a scoop but I did not see one in the box.

Scoops / cups

They stopped including those in the boxes years ago. They usually do provide a helpline phone number to get one sent to you (UK and Ireland only).

For environmental, and I assume cost reasons, they only include scoops in the packs every so often. I think it's usually when they change the branding / reformulate the products.

Neither Unilever nor P&G include them normally here.

If you have a scoop from a US detergent, they're probably more or less the same thing

If I remember, the scoops that come with Tide are identical to the ones that come with Ariel over here.

I used 120 mL (approx. 1/2 cup) with 1 tbsp STPP and it worked great. This was for a large load with our hard water.
