On the road and had the opportunity to go to a Russian supermarket (Okey) to check out the laundry aisle and stock up on products to take home. It is insane how much they charge for Persil back home in the US!

Anyway, my prior purchases have been Universal Megapearls and (Unilever) Color Care. Picked up a large sack of Persil Gold and Persil Gold Color powders. What is the Gold designation? I did notice the temperature range was only down to 30 on both products. All of my prior purchases listed temps down to 20.

Persil Gold

The "Gold" is just marketing, nothing to do with any new features. It should show that Persil is the best detergent, like someone who won the gold medal in sports. Have fun with your Persil.

Persil Gold you've bought is made for the Russian market and it's not the best quality. That' why there is a difference in the temperature range - old technology. It is not even made by Henkel, but by third party manufacturer.
Anyway, that Persil is not too bad, but remember it's not concentrated at all. You have to use 150 g (215 ml) for standard load (4-5 kg). With the Western European powders you use 80 g (130 ml). What a difference!
3 kg bag = 20 washes, 6 kg bag = 40 washes, etc. The bag is big, the loads - not too much.
