Cannot speak for your area, but here in NYC:

Ride Aid - nearly every other week Tide is on sale (usually liquids and pods, but sometimes powder)

Target

Various other supermarkets such as Morton Williams/Associated, Shoprite, etc...

Rite Aid nearly is always the lowest.

Last week Arm & Hammer liquid detergents were on sale at $1.99. They sold out of the stuff in a few days, ditto for when second truck load arrived later in week.

In fact you can always tell which detergents are on sale at local Rite Aid, as that is what you'll see overwhelmingly at the laundromat which is one block or so away.

Combine offers to get bigger savings

This week at Target , you receive a $5 Target gift card if you buy any two Tide or other P&G brand items. If you buy two bottles of Tide, you can use two $1 Tide (manufacture) coupons, and if you find any Target coupons for Tide, you may also use them too. That could add up to big savings. At Target, you may combine (stack) both a manufacturer's coupon and a target coupon on the same item.

From this week's ad:
Free $5 Target GiftCard when you buy any two Tide, Gain, Charmin, Downy, Bounce, Bounty or Puffs products listed. Gain 100-oz. 64-load liquid, 35-ct. Tide Pods or Gain Flings, or Tide 75-oz. 48-load liquid.

Regarding Persil Pearls

The Persil Power-Pearls are on clearance for $8.88 at my local Shop Rite. I had a couple $2 off Persil coupons, so I ended up only paying 6.88 a bottle. I can't complain about that!

Just received my 6 jugs of original scent power pearls from Target.com. Free shipping. Those should last me a while since I only use them for white loads.

Just cleaned out my three local Shop-Rite stores of the remaining 59 load size mega pearls powder. They were marked down from $13.99 to $8.99 and I had a few $2.00 off coupons so not a bad deal. In the end I got 9 of them, Also hit up the Acme supermarkets in Stamford and Greenwich which replaced our now defunct A&P - but being Acme, the same size was priced at $17.99 reduced to $13.99. Questioned the manager about the pricing but of course got no real answer. Amazing how two different supermarkets have such different pricing structures - yet also noted that Acme had the same load size of the 2 in 1 liquid on sale for $8.99. The manager tried to explain that the liquid did fewer loads. When I pointed out that the stated load size was the same on both the powder and liquid, he merely shrugged and said "that's just the way it is"... I think they raised the price on the powder then "lowered" it to $13.99 which was the regular price of the 2 in 1 liquid. Needless to say I left the 4 jugs of powder right on the shelf. I like the mega pearls, but I am not planning to be taken to the cleaners' for it. No pun intended...
