Persil vs Miele Detergents

I find a vast difference. The German Persil MegaPearls Universal and Color cleans much better than the Kruessler made Miele detergents. Plus the scent of Persil is much more pleasant. The Miele detergent not so much. If I am going to spend the money I would get the German Persil. I would love to see Persil on the shelves here in the stores...but not at the price that Miele charges for it.

I guess I am not picky but I don't see much difference between the two. I started with Persil megaperals in 2003. Then when Miele released their detergents I tried them using them. The problem is that all of the products last so long so that years go by before I need more. I usually just switch back and forth when I run out of one. Right now I have Miele for colors and Persil Megaperls for whites ...so I guess I can use either of them. Heck Purex complete with zout seems to be working too.
I'm with nmassman44. I made Meile refund my purchase of their brand products.

Purex Complete with Zout
I got a sample of Purex Complete with Zout in the mail the other day and tried it out tonight on some dirty whites I used for changing the oil in my car and mowing the lawn. Shirt had dirt from laying on the garage floor (no oil from the car oil change though), and the socks as usual have a ton of grass stains.
Everything came out nice and clean, and the stuff smells great - my sample was the Fresh Morning Burst. I'm going to pick up a bottle of this stuff when I'm at the store again along with a bottle of Zout. I will have to see how it compares to Shout.
Attached is a link to $1 off since they ran out of samples it looks like.

I have Zout spray foam and Zout liquid and they work just as well as the shout liquid gel that I also have.
Was really surprised by the Purex with Zout because I didn't think the regular Purex worked as well as Miele or Persil. Of course I don't think the regular Purex contained the enzymes either. So far my tests with Purex with zout have been with using warm water (105F) or very warm which is (120F) on my machine.
I will say that I think Persil for whites may do a slightly better job when using warm water than Miele for whites, but the difference I see is small, plus my heavy soiled white loads don't get a temp under 120F so no difference for me. I am also using the standard quick cycle on my machine and not the extended option that provides the longer cycle so the actual wash lasts between 12 and 20 minutes followed by the spin and rinses.

Does the Purex liquid suffer from the usual extended sudsing syndrome through the rinses so common to all other liquid detergents? I had a terrible time with too much foam when I tried to use a liquid HE detergent at wash temperatures over 140. The only liquid I use in the FLs is the Cheer color guard when it is needed to protect dark colors.

I haven't done a wash over 120F in several months, so I don't know how much foam Purex will create at that temp. I usually try to match the amount of detergent to the soil level so end up using less than the manufacturer states and still get clean clothes.
The back of the bottle lists the ingredients and their purpose. One of these is just called fatty acid and it's purpose is foam control. Usually the water will leave clear spots on the glass at the beginning of the first rinse and at the end of the second rinse the water being pumped out looks almost clear.
Don't know what will happen with higher temperatures.

Thanks, Jerrod. The higher wash temps don't affect the sudsing in the rinses, but during the wash, the foam went to the top of the glass at 180. That was years ago and maybe the liquid HE detergents have changed; actually I am sure they have changed. The word I should have used was improved and I'm not so sure about that.
