Received the w-2F4 on Monday, and tested for leaks. It was leaking at the pump. I gave it a dry run previously, and it started agitating. I advanced the timer to spin, however no spin. With a little counterclockwise help, it began to spin. I took the pulley off of the bottom of the clutch, and removed a spacer form behind the lower cam, put it together and away she went! Apparently the previous owner
Just went out and bought the 70's filterflo, to fix the spin problem. I am amazed at how little time is on this machine, you can just tell. Anyway here are a few picks for those who care...

W-2f4 arrives

Thanks again for posting this Robert ! I have never seen one in person, so it is neat to see. I'm fortunate that all rubber parts are in excellent shape, although the hard plastic mount did have a broken foot.

Fascinating Washer . . .

Love seeing these "naked" pics, thanks for posting! Philco was certainly creative in their engineering. What was the last year for this "high frequency"design with "ball point balance"? After it ended was Philco reduced to marketing generic washers under their name?

Impressive

Doesn't look like there is a whole lot to them once you strip the cabinet off. Such an amazing machine. I'm excited to see the completed job up and running.

Mark Harman has one of these!

And it really is impressive,,,the spin is nothing extraordinary, but the washing sure is, it does tangle the clothes, but that never bothered me...if they are tangled it is a sure sign they have been moved around! It washes great without making tons of suds because only the bottom of the agitator moves, the top is still .

Progress

I have finished cleaning everything, and reassembled most of it. Problem I have is a broken agitator mount. If this thing is gonna live, I will need help from our forefathers who might have a parts donor. HELP! Anyway here are a few pics...
