Help Support :

Thanks a BILLION, Mark for the pics! My favorite one is the one w/ the dial lit up. AWESOME! They look like you just rolled them off the sales floor at Sears in 1958. I know you’re gonna have fun playing with your new toys. ENJOY!

You've gotta be kidding me!

Pop up guides! Clothes hangers! Lights on everything.

Awesome machines.

Curious, were these made my Whirlpool, and if so, did WP have similar models under their own brand?

Yes they sure are nice.

Very nice finds indeed. thanks for the pics, my they are NICE. alr2903

Mark those are just beautiful! Congratulations, there are a lot of similarities between the 1957 set and the 1958 set and yet many differences as well. I never knew the '58 set had a fabric softener cup that flipped over. Looking forward to some action shots, then I think we need a special Lady Kenmore Photo album, I will try and work on that soon.

Hi Kevin!

Hi Kevin!
Yes these were made by Whirlpool for Sears. I don't know if they had a comparable machine in the Whirlpool line or not, but I don't think they did. As soon as I get the time, I will break down both machines and thoroughly clean and restore them to like new condition. By the way, the Frigidaire dryer is a beautiful machine in pretty much mint condition. It's a filtrator. Mark

Amazing

Mark,
Thank you for the detail pictures!! Those already look almost showroom new, what awesome machines, Pull up guides, clothes racks, room heaters.. just awesome. Thank you once again for saving and sharing such great machines.

OH! OH! OH! All three look great! They don't even look dirty. These must have been very well cared for. So glad someone in our club got them!

Thanks for the photos Mark. The "under the hood" shots are always appreciated!

Oh Mark, What can one say, they are just to beautiful for words!! Thanks so much for all the great pictures. Good to see you, Gary, and Robert again. I know you are going to have fun with these. Terry

It's worth noting that only the Lady Kenmore dryer had a porcelain drum and only for a short time. There must have been some problem with Kenmore calling their suds saver SudsMiser, because on the control panel and in every mention of the feature in the use and care guide, you can read Suds, but the Miser part is blacked out. Mom made her own Drip-Dry cycle by running either the Wash and Wear cycle or the Delicate cycle with the lid open to prevent the spin portions of the cycle.

VERY KOOL-love the clothes hanger rod-the wash chart-and the "radio dial" on the machines.also love the CHROME!And the dryer could be used as a heater? And yes that big fat Roto-Swirl-My grandmoms washer had one of those--but her washer didn't have the bells and whistles the one pictured has.Was the plain model. Was so neat to watch.also hers didn't have the UV bulb.If it did --I would have been sunburned!

Stays Still Loosened,

Only this time no smelling salts, went straight for the gin!

What a great set! WEll DONE! Am so happy a member rescued these units and that they will soon get the "spa" treatment.

Love the clothes hanger rack for the dryer, how nice of someone to think of almost every single thing to make Mrs. June Cleaver's laundry day so easy.
