Well, after a fantastic 7-day vacation... I'm back home in Durham, NC. I can't thank everyone enough for making this the best convention yet. (Don't we always say that?)

I echo everyone else's sentiments... kudos to a fabulous board and president; kudos to Greg Nunn, Mark Goodall; kudos to Robert Seger and his Super Unimatic. And kudos to the members of the VCCC and Automatic Washer.org---for having interests in these appliances that have brought together people from around the country and world.. and turned them into friends. It's truly amazing!

It is over all too soon... but I look forward to the second weekend of August, 2008 ~ Less than a year away!!

I've sifted through all of my 346 photos, and a hundred or so of Michael's photos. I combined them all into seven different albums... And include photos from the VCCC Convention and the Wash-In at Greg's house!

They are titled the following:

-VCCC Convention 2008
-Seward and Lincoln Nebraska...
-Convention... Thursday night
-Friday... Convention.
-Friday... Part 2.
-Convention... Saturday.
-Last one, I promise!

Here's the link to the first one. All galleries are posted at the top of the page! Just click from one to another! Enjoy!

VCCC Convention2007 Photos

Hi Fred, Great pics of what was a superb event...cant believe that its all over, BUT, a great event has to FINISH in order for another one to BEGIN...

I`m posting my link here, hope you dont mind, with all the photos out there it will be better in a single thread link I think!!!!

In 2001 I was asked the question "Why Dont You Come Over For Our AW Convention" and I thought about that and so I DID....and I`ve never looked back since...and now another wonderful 2007 event , making new friends and linking up with past aquaintances....

I thought I had taken more people pics, (I know others did) then I realised I was either so busy loading laundry into the quintesentially English Twinnies or having great conversations with new friends....FAB

Fantastic Photo Diary

Fred,

Let me echo Chestermikeuk's sentiments...

Fantastic photo diary!

Thank you so much for sharing your collection of pictures from the convention. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting you and look forward to many more fun times ahead.

Mike

I'll add my 137¢...

GREAT photos! Enjoyed every one of them!! :)

(Did someone really find a model G Electrolux in the original box for five bucks?! WOW!!!)

great photos too

I never even saw that Recollections Estate Sale in the Weird Herald when I was making my "game plans" this weekend. Oh well my "boat" was full anyway

Those "Kum and Go" stations are rather sporadic west of the Mississippi. I know there's one in Springfield by Andy Weter, as I got gas there and I have one of their "bladder buster" 66oz cups from my trip last May to the Vicki Lawrence show at MSU

Fred, it was finally nice to meet you at long last, cause like I said you were the very first person I saw other than myself that had a vacuum obsession when my mom taped you on Leno back in '94.

Great photos guys! I took exactly two pictures so this is very fun to see these, keep 'em coming!

We had such a great time, it was so good to see all of our old friends and meet so many new ones. Everything went smooth as silk and it sounds like all had a great time. Suds-locking, circuit tripping, clothes sloshing good time here on Friday night for sure, but the rest of the events were spectacular too. Terry and I are still catching up on our sleep!

What a blast

I am living vicariously through all of the pictures! And, Greg, where are those two pictures that you took!?

Am I the only one that noticed that there are no pictures of Greg's kitchen. Did he forbid any clandesdine photos? Is he done with the re-do?

Martin

Fred thank you, thank you, thank you for taking such beautiful pictures! It's bringing all the memories back of this wonderful weekend. You are certainly a talented photographer capturing the many moments across the entire weekend, even if you weren't there in person Fred's pictures vividly paint all the fun. The Glamour shots, they are so cool as well, I love the Kelvinator B/W and Red shot, that's going to be my new screen saver!

Fred, that's the coolest and most humungous photo album

Talk about almost being there--sweet Jesus--I AM there. Thank You!

my favorite is of you and Robert out clubbing, ear to ear, and smiling big--how how how how nice. LOVE IT !

Your eyeballs are fabulous.

Love,

Mike

Fred, thank you so much for those pics. I brought my camera and meant to take more, but I just got too distracted with all the fun!! I love the pics at the club! That was such a fun night.

Forgot the PS

When I tried to view the pix this a.m. at school, your link is so big and upscale that the giant system network refused it--couldn't upload it! How dramatic is that? Not once has that happened. It's just as well. Much more fun taking my time to enjoy and appreciate them at home. Thanks, again, Fred. What a ton of work--all those captions--My God! Must have taken forever.

Yup Mike, that was my favorite picture as well. :)

Great photos, Fred and Mike. It was so good to see old friends and meet new ones. These events are simply not to be missed. I'm so glad we have vacs mingling with washers, dryers and dishwashers. I felt like I was at a big family reunion, only I liked everyone there!
